Wilde CFD's Technical Director, Simon Leefe, organised a well-attended evening seminar for the South Manchester Branch of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. The talk, delivered by former colleague Dr John Middleton, focussed on the importance of understanding fluid mechanics when scaling up mixing operations and reactions. Dr Simon Leefe and Mike McCarthy were invited to give a presentation on managing risk and reliability to the European Sealing Association at their 2008 Annual General Meeting in IJmuiden, the Netherlands. The talk was well received by the audience of senior technical and commercial managers from around 50 of Europe's leading seal manufacturers and suppliers.
